AMBIVALENCE ABOUT PREGNANCY
Most steps forward in life involve giving up some of the old as well as gaining the new, from straightforward events such as changing school or job, to complex maturational stages such as moving from childhood to adulthood. The grief of giving up the old combined with anticipation of the new gives rise to very mixed feelings.
